Blood Drug Testing

What does a physical examination include? Does it include blood and urine test?

I want to get a physical done because I want to check for thyrod and also any possible STD? Would a physical include all this ?

1. Typically, a physical includes basic bloodwork, a basic metabolic panel and a CBC with differential. The BMP doesn't include thyroid tests. Those have to ordered by the doctor to be included. Urine dips are done in the office. If there's a problem, the specimen will be sent out to a lab for microanalysis. STD screening isn't a routine part of a physical. This is a specialty test that is ordered separately. If you have concerns, bring them up. If there's enough justification to order a TSH and and STD screen, your doctor will do so. But they're not routinely ordered.
