- Terminal hypochondria.
- I don't want to sound mean but is it just possible that you are a hypochondriac? You seem to have everything going!
- Perhaps you are worrying about your health and this is leading to your problems. Stress plays a key factor in our physical health. Your tests are fine so get out there and live your live instead of worrying. Good luck.
- I'm not jumping to conclusions, you don't say how old you are, but have you ever had an eating disorder? You're coming out with classic side effects of anorexia.
- Sounds like Mal nutrition. Maybe you should see a nutritionist in stead of a doctor
- are you a veggie..if so try a good steak & chips...sorted
- being underweight can cause all of the above, do you have an eating disorder? thinking you are ill is an illness in itself, ask your doc to refer you to someone you can talk with about your life. whilst you are doing that, get a burger down your neck.
- Please don't take this the wrong way but have you ever considered seeing a counsellor? It sounds to me like all these symptoms are amde by you so maybe there's something that has happened in the past that you need to sort out?! It happens!
- get another blood test from a different lab..................
- If you have been this ill for many years, why haven't you had blood tests before now? And if you did what were the results?
- It's hard to suggest a direction in which to go because I need to know what symptoms of hyperthyroidism, anemia and diabetes you believe you have. Hirsuitism and scaly skin aren't associated with hyperthyroidism. I'd have to know what these other symptoms are. I need more information.
- have a go at hypnotherapy, it could be a something in your mind that needs ironing out and some people have amazing results!
- thats a good thing is nt it
- Do you drink a lot of diet soda or other diet products. I have been hearing of lots of problems due to Aspartame poisoning.
- but how do you know you have a hirsutism over active thyroid do you eat properly and sleep enough keep a dairy for a month write every thing down what you eat how long slept what pains you have and take it to your doctor if no change change doctors good luck
- go to a r n
- i have quite a few of the symptoms you mention. scaly skin is psoriasis which turned in and gave me arthritis. this form of arthritis is difficult to diagnose as it doesn't show up on usual blood tests. i had holes and pits in my nails and that is how i was diagnosed. i have an underactive thyroid which made me put on, then i developed asthma. also get the pain under my ribs, 9 time out of 10 it is trapped wind. IBS runs hand in hand with my arthritis. i am tired all the time too even though i am on medication. i would ask your DR to refer you to a specialist so that further tests can be done. for all the people who said hypochondriac, i have been back and forth to the Dr's for years. once the initial diagnosis was made all my other symptoms made sense. its not fair to judge someone who feels ill even after tests come back negative. they don't test for every single thing, only what the DR might think it is at that time.
- First of all you have my sympathy for what it is worth, even if you are a hypochondriac it is still ailment and symptomatic of having a knowledge that something ain't right. It is unfortunate that NHS doctors are restricted in what they can do, this as a consequence of funding and basically they do the blood tests and that is about it. If they find you are e.g. diabetic then they will give you the pills and move on. It seems that if it is obvious that is OK, but if you are outside their little list of recognisable symptoms then "Tough". People, when they are young, take their health for granted and do not realise how debilitating it is to know that there is something wrong and in ignorance, arrogantly point the finger and say "hypochondriac" so let us hope that they don't have to suffer in the future, it is like searching in the dark for a solution and that in itself raises the frustration to despair. I don't know what to tell you, all I can suggest is that you spend some cash and go see a private specialist who will run tests which your G.P. won't, or can't afford to. I know that you shouldn't have to, but this is the world that we now live in and for your own peace of mind surely it is better to be in debt and feeling good, or at least knowing what the problem is, or the alternative, which is ill and depressed and swallowing anti-depressants for the rest of your life. Best of luck whatever you choose to do.
- I have had a lot of the same symptoms over the years. Last year my weight dropped to 7 1/2 stone & doctor sent me for loads of tests, including ESR, FBC, liver function, thyroid function etc & all came back negative. Following 3 admissions via A&E this year with asthma attacks the specialist did total IgE, which was strongly positive - which means I have allergies! Test have identified some allergens but nothing the specialist thinks would cause the problems I have had so I need some more. But I am now on major allergy medication & have more energy, am putting on weight etc.
- PLEASE get blood tested for Celiac Disease!! You have MANY of the symptoms and the solution is simple! once u are diagnosed, you go on the gluten free diet for life and u will feel amazing! Oh my gosh your symptoms are like dead on Celiac symptoms! Shame on the docs for not trying that! Blood tests will tell u if u are, but an endoscopy with biopsy may be necessary also. The skin rash u have may be Dermatitis Herpetiformis (DH) is an important associated disorder or complication of celiac disease which is manifested in the form of a skin rash. A dermatologist can biopsy this and if u have DH u ABSOLUTELY have Celiac and do not need further gastro testing!! Please feel free to email me for more help or use these sites! many Celiacs feel like hypochondriacs prior to diagnosis bc no one believes them! I understand, I do! www.csaceliacs.org www.celiac.com www.celiac.org
- You don't mention if he actually checked thyroid function, assuming he did it does suggest that you don't really have any significant disease.
- You need to consult a specialist as your GP is only that, a GENERAL practitioner... First off, I would visit a homeopathic doctor to determine if you are allergic to anything. They can carry out a series of special non-invasive tests that will find out what you shouldn't be eating or drinking. They can advise you on what to eat also. Or get referred to Nutritionist as well. Good Luck!
