How long do the blood test results take?

Thanks every one for always answering my questions so well.. everyone is so helpful! I also wanted to know, would the doc give me a blood test in her GP's office or send me to the hospital. Or would she find out in a different way that I am pregnant? If it is done by a blood test, how long would the results for a blood test take to come back to me? Thanks :) Yip I am in the UK ....

1. as you mentioned GP then u r in UK, any way you need to phone your GP after 4-5 days of your blood test and they will tell you, you don't need to visit to speak to your doctor directly for a blood test result
2. These can be done with a urine test. The time for a blood test is about 2 minutes. Add to that the time for the sample to wait for someone to test it, then type a report, then post it to the Doctor. - three to four days
