Blood Drug Testing

Blood tests results for Hep.A Total was >400 mIU/ml. says that >20 mIU/ml is positive. what does this mean?

Hep.A Total > 400 mIU/ml Hep Bs <3.00, to be immune you have to be > 10 mIU/ml. what does this mean. Does this mean I have Hep.A and Hep B. although my doctor said that my blood test results were very good, that liver function, etc was good. the only thing which was negative was Toxoplasmose IgG and Toxoplasmose IgM and of course HIV 1+2. another question which hormone do they check for pregnancy? is it TSH?

  1. pregnacy=hgh human growth hormone. As for the other tests, why not ask your doctor what that all means. It isn't a stupid question. He'll be happy to answer it. If not the doctor call the nurse and ask them.
  2. These results mean you have been exposed to the Hep A virus or have been immunized against it and do not need the Hep A vaccine. If you had it now, you would be ill. If the HepB s is the antibody test, it means that even if you had the disease or had the vaccine, you do not have enough antibodies to be immune. Hep B surface antigen would show you had actually had Hep B. TSH is the thyroid stimulating hormone made by the pituitary gland which regulates the thyroid gland. Pregnancy is evidenced by betaHCG, human chorionic gonadotropin. Never be afraid to ask you doctor what lab tests are for and what the results mean. If you have HIV, you will want to keep your own log of test results and track your status. Any of the HIV web sites will have information about this. In the meantime, this website explains lab test, how they are done and why and what the results mean in easy to understand language: http://www.labtestsonline.org/
