Blood tests?

How long does it take to get blood test results back for spina bifidia and downs syndrome and is it sent to ur house or do u phone for them?

1. I dont know how long but they should call and let you know they have the results but you will most likely have to go to the drs office to hear them. We are having CF testing next week :(
2. They usually let you know pretty quick. When I did my triple screen they were able to tell me as soon as the results came out which was less than a week. It came out negative only for me to find out later that she still has a possibility of having downs from the results of the ultrasound and her growth. They were not sure so they sent me to a perinatologist that told me this. They wanted to do an amnio but if daughter has downs she as downs. Anyway, it didn't take very long at all. Doctors told me that only 1/3 of downs is detected by triple screen and amnio would verify, but I didn't want to chance it. We're waiting and there are also some people that show positive that do not have downs. Congrats no matter what. 30 weeks pregnant and counting with baby girl.
3. for those like the tests u have done for checkin HIV and the other stuff it is normally 3 weeks but i would call ur midwife she will be able to tell u.
4. It generally takes a week. My doctors office said they would only call if I had abnormal results. Just depends on your doctor and the lab doing the testing.
5. 2 weeks (mine was 4 cuz it were ova Xmas) and they'll post the results to you. the doc/midwife will get end 1st, and if theres summat wrong u'll b phoned up. but fingers crossed it all comes bk normal and low risk!
