How long to wait for blood test results?

I just started going to a new doctor, and I had blood tests done to check my blood glucose and chloroestrol (sp). I had my blood drawn over 2 weeks ago and have not heard anything back. How long does these test usually take, and do I have to call the office or will they mail something?

1. If you have not heard by now then call the office and talk with with doctor. Be aware, though, that many doctors do not call back if the tests are all normal; but for your own peace of mind, call the doctor.
