Blood Drug Testing

6 months and still not blood test results?

it has been 6 months since they have drawn blood to test my bac for a dui, and i still have no results. when i went to court, they said the blood has not even been tested yet. what is taking so long? does the time even make the blood sample valid anymore? also, since an alcohol swab was used to disinfect the area, do i have grounds to get the case thrown out?

2. They probably lost your blood so they have no way of proving your DUI.
3. The alcohol used to swab the area is the wrong kind of alcohol. Rubbing alcohol won't make any difference in a DUI test. If you tried to drink rubbing alcohol (if you can get past the smell of it), you'd die. It's poisonous. To TRY and answer your question about the blood... I'm not sure how long a blood sample would be considered viable. I know that after a certain amount of time, the blood breaks down, so the only thing it might be good for is paternity/maternity identification. Your best bet would be to talk to your attorney and your doctor about it. They'll tell you what your next step should be. Good luck.
