The count might have been very low or very high which means - the pregnancy might not stick, you're only just pregnant or you might be further along or having twins. Obviously for where you think you are in the pregnancy the number is off. I hope it's good news - congrats!
Do you mean the HCG result came back abnormal?? I have never heard of it. To the best of my knowledge it works like this... Less than 5 - NEGATIVE 5 - 24 - INCONCLUSIVE (this is because doctors like it to reach 25 or higher before confirming pregnancy as many fertilised eggs fail to implant. Over 25 - POSITIVE Perhaps your doctor checked for other things at the same time and found some abnormalities. Try not to stress over it too much. I am a very sick pregnant person and in my last daughter my red and white blood cells were so mixed up the lab called my OB and asked if I was a chemotherapy patient! Pregnancy does very strange things to our bodies.
