  4. Yes, blood tests are more accurate usually 100% and it can detect the hcg hormone earlier than a hpt. And yes also a hpt can give you inaccurate results. Go for the blood test it will tell you sooner and give you accurate results. good luck
  5. yes blood test are more accurate the hpt and some hpt do give you false positives or false negatives.. how many have test have you taken if you have taken more than 2 or 3 the result on the hpt may be correct..well good luck i hope you get the answer you are looking for
  6. Yes. A blood test is more accurate cause when I went to the clinic, I ask my doctor and he said that there is more evidence in your blood that can prove a variety of results.
  7. Yes, some women are actually pregnant and get negative results in a hpt. I know of women who were 8 wks pregnant and still having negative hpt's, and found out they were pregnant through a blood test. Pregnancy tests are pretty sensitive. False positives are VERY rare. It all depends on the amount of hcg in your urine. Some women test too soon and get negative results, and test again a few days later and get their positve. It all depends on the woman i guess, and the amount of hcg in your urine.
  8. If you do a home preg. test I would recommend EPT and if done right it's pretty accurate. The only difference with doing the blood test is that it tells you sooner if you are pregnant by measuring your HCG count. Good luck!
