Are blood pregnancy tests more accurate then urine?

It has been 37 days since my last period, i keep taking pregnancy urine tests and they all say negative. i've been really sick for about 7 days, feeling like i need to throw up every tiem i eat anything. been really tired all the time. I went to the doctor and she said she didn't think i was pregnant, the urine test at the doctors office was negative too...she told me that a blood test is no more accurate then a urine one...is that true? cause I really want to know if i am pregnant or if its something else that i need to get taken care of. thanks! how long does it take to get results from a blood test? is it quick like urine?

3. They are more accurate in the sense that it detects pregnancy sooner than urine tests do.
4. Blood tests are supposed to be more accurate than urine tests. Your symptoms sound very "pregnancy-ish" so I would definitely push to have the blood test. Talk to a different doctor if necessary. Keep in mind with urine tests that they do not always show positive right away. I know a few women who have not had a BFP until they were 6 weeks along. Definitely push for the blood test. GL to you!
