how many weeks after unprotected sex/conception will pregnancy blood tests be accurate?

- Usually a couple days before your missed period.
- about a week and a half...hope this helps!!!
- about 2-3 weeks just to be sure..
- I think it is 2 to 3 weeks. I know they say test 14 to 17 days after you know you ovulated. So, I would think by then it would be positive or neg by then. Good luck!
- It depends on if the doctor gives you a qualitative or quantitative blood test. Most doctor's will give a quantitative one because qualitative tests do the same thing as a urine test, and they're a lot more expensive! A quantitative blood test will detect the bare minimum of HCG in your system. So anywhere from 7-9 days after conception. Most women start off with about 5 hcg/mL. For a HCG test to be considered positive, a woman needs to have 10+ hcg/mL. The quantitative blood tests are also called beta HCG tests.
- All of my blood tests have read about 72 hours after conception/ovulation. I would wait about 5 days after you have ovulated if you think you may be pregnant and ask the dr to do a blood test. I always have to do a blood test because I don't read on urine tests.
