Will a blood pregnancy test be accurate 8 days after a missed period and 30 days after having had sex?
I ask, cuz I took one as well as 7 home-pregnancy test and they all came out negative. The thing is I am still late for my period. But everybody keeps telling me it could be due to the morning-after pill I took which has certainly messed up with my cycle. What do u think?

- Absolutely!
- YES - blood tests are accurate even before a home pregnancy test would pick up levels of HCG in your urine at about 14 days past conception. Eight days after your period is due, a blood test would certainly detect pregnancy.
- Yes it will it's better then an home test
- Yes, blood hCG tests are accurate much sooner, often before your period is due, than the urine home pregnancy tests. There are a lot of reasons other than pregnancy which can cause a missed period...if you used the morning after pill, that can change your cycle as well as the stress from having to use it as well. I doubt you are pregnant, given the information you provided. Good luck.
- YES
- Yes a blood test is the most accurate way to detect a pregnancy. You could be late for many different reasons, the morning after pill and also stress can relate to being late also.
