Blood Drug Testing

Will a blood pregnancy test be accurate 8 days after a missed period and 30 days after having had sex?

I ask, cuz I took one as well as 7 home-pregnancy test and they all came out negative. The thing is I am still late for my period. But everybody keeps telling me it could be due to the morning-after pill I took which has certainly messed up with my cycle. What do u think?

  1. Absolutely!
  2. YES - blood tests are accurate even before a home pregnancy test would pick up levels of HCG in your urine at about 14 days past conception. Eight days after your period is due, a blood test would certainly detect pregnancy.
  3. Yes it will it's better then an home test
  4. Yes, blood hCG tests are accurate much sooner, often before your period is due, than the urine home pregnancy tests. There are a lot of reasons other than pregnancy which can cause a missed period...if you used the morning after pill, that can change your cycle as well as the stress from having to use it as well. I doubt you are pregnant, given the information you provided. Good luck.
  5. YES
  6. Yes a blood test is the most accurate way to detect a pregnancy. You could be late for many different reasons, the morning after pill and also stress can relate to being late also.
