how accurate is a blood pregnancy test when suffering with polycystic ovarie syndrome?

  1. In my experiance the pregnancy test is accurate. I have PCOS myself and with the three pregnancies that i have had in the past the tests all read accurate.
  2. It makes no difference. PCOS doesn't affect pregnancy tests.
  3. a blood test is the most accurate thing you can get unless you are giving birth then you no your preg
  4. more effective than the urine test and in your case an ultrasound might be a good idea too. As I understand some types of ovarian cysts can actually produce the HCG hormone. the real test with be several blood draws over several days, the HCG level should double each time. if it was a cyst triggering the hormone then the level would be extremly low. I actually saw a story like that on a medical mysterious tv show about real cases.
